Up To $1,000 Reimbursement for Ford’s Mobility Program

Ford Motor Company has a long record of commitment to helping persons with disabilities retain their mobility and independence. Through the Ford Mobility Motoring program, Ford is offering up to $1,000 in reimbursement for outfitting a Ford vehicle to meet the needs of persons with disabilities. Now, anyone with a disability who wants to make their vehicle more accessible and user-friendly can qualify for up to $1,000 directly from Ford in helping them to do so.

Ford also recognizes that vehicle choice is equally important to persons with disabilities, which is why this reimbursement program applies to any new Ford car, van, truck or SUV.

What is Ford Mobility Motoring?

The Ford Mobility Motoring program was created to help individuals who have special mobility needs retain their driving independence. The program helps people to choose the right Ford vehicle for them, assess the requirements, and adapt the vehicle to their unique needs. Ford has even created an easy-to-use Mobility Checklist that individuals can use to plan their mobility needs. There is even a Ford Mobility Customer Care Center than can assist with any part of the reimbursement process.

What Mobility Devices Qualify?

This special incentive can be used toward the purchase of qualifying access equipment such as lifts, hand controls, carriers, power assist seats, steering devices, door openers, and more. In fact, any installed device that makes it easier for a person with special needs to drive or to be transported in a vehicle can qualify for reimbursement. Remember however, any vehicle modifications must be made by a Ford-accredited Qualified Vehicle Modifier in order to qualify for reimbursement under the program.

What Are the Steps?

Ford has made it easy to both assess your mobility needs, and to have the modifications made to your vehicle. The Mobility Checklist published on Ford’s Mobility Motoring website includes a series of steps that will help you to plan out the process. Steps along the way include; preparing to drive, discussing the options with your Lance Cunningham Ford representative, purchasing the vehicle, ordering the adaptive equipment, and submitting the receipts for reimbursement. It’s really that easy.
